Man... I was hoping it would give us a break. We have been planning a trip down there next wednesday for over a month. Supposed to be (sort of) sunny and dry for a couple of days, but then VERY iffy monday and tuesday. I might just head down there sunday if it`s ridable so I can say I got a birthday ride in *prays for decent weather*

Not that I even doubt anyone down there wouldn`t, but can we get a report if anyone rides saturday? It`s either Waco or Tyler on sunday and Tyler is an extra 30 minutes` drive from here (close to 2 hours)

    Well, I'm riding tomorrow.

It's going to be a bit muddy in spots, but I think it will be OK.

I just might head down there around noon. Give myself a few minutes to fart around and i`ll hit the trail at 1:30ish. Gonna park up at the baseball field and start up there this time.

    Sunday noon

Most of the trail is in pretty good shape.

    Few interesting muddy spots

Mix master is REALLY flooded. Water up to the last huge berm on Vortex. The trail between the road and mix master in now a creek.

    Creek crossings on Powder Monkey.

Weber's run is pretty muddy. Flowing water on the long downhill.

So Wumpus, assuming for conversations` sake the trail stays in the shape it`s in now, what route would you suggest for the most bang for the buck riding?

and another spot of note...part of the cliff at lover's leap collapsed so river trail is obstructed to say the least. however it is traversable by foot.

Any chance one of you guys could/would give any insight to trail conditions or ridability as of today? We`ve been planning a birthday ride for over a month and we`ll still head down there if there`s enough trail in ridable shape to make it worthwhile...

    THANKS!!

    looking good for Wednesday

    I've been parking at Emmon's Cliff -- marker 1.4

Then starting on the top of Johnie or just ride to the road and start on Kite, to slinky to vortex -- thru the water -- up baseball to outback/powder monkey/weber's run -- up torquer to Slinky -- cross the road to johnny/river trail -- up Act or faith to the road and then shyst to California to the river trail -- up shyst climb cross the road and do a few trails -- down across the road -- up powerline to the car

    Tuesday afternoon

Trails are in great shape. All the creeks are flowing. Didn't go thru Mix Master, but I imagine it is still under water or a muddy mess.

River trail is still wet. It is closed between Twin Bridges and Hale Bop due to a landslide.

With only a 20% chance of showers on saturday I`m willing to head down there if there`ll be enough trail rideable to be worth the drive...

    Thursday

    Trails are great.

Mix Master is draining and is going to be a mud bog soon.

Reroute at the bottom of Shyst to get it out of Live River.

The Shyst reroute is finished and starts about 50 yards farther up Dead River from the river trail.
